Matt Smith is officially Australia’s Number 1 residential sales agent, having been named Australian Salesperson of the Year at the REIA National Awards for Excellence in May 2025.
Matt is also the current 2024/2025 winner of the Real Estate Institute of South Australia’s SA Salesperson of the year, an accolade he has won a record 5 times, more than any other Agent in the state. As Managing Director and co-owner of Klemich Real Estate, Matt offers 20+ years of industry experience, which has seen him sell well over 1400 homes and receive numerous accolades as one of the State’s top auctioneers.
In November 2024, Matt was presented with the Sir Robert Torrens Award by the Real Estate Institute of SA – the highest honour that can be bestowed upon a real estate professional – for his notable leadership, vision & significant contribution to the industry.
Matt is a Board Member of the Real Estate Institute of South Australia (REISA) and the past President of the Society of Auctioneers and Appraisers (SAA).
Matt has also been appointed as Chief Judge for the 2025 Australasian Auction Competition, where he lead a national and international team to deliver an outstanding auction competition, showcasing the best Auctioneering talent here and over the Tasman.
